English School Life

What is life like on school days? Boys and girls usually stay at school seven hours. School starts at 9 a.m. and finishes at 4 p.m. Everybody, teachers and pupils, meet in The Assembly Hall at 9 o'clock in the morning. Then the Principal talks to them and at the end they sing together. Pupils have four lessons in the morning and two lessons in the afternoon. There is a break between morning lessons. Boys and girls go to the playground and play sports or they go to the garden to talk. Teachers and students must have lunch at school, but they can bring their own food from home. They usually have English, Maths, Geography and Science lessons in the mornings, and Physical Education, Design and Technology, Art , Computer and Music in the afternoon. They must learn a foreign language too. They can choose Spanish, German or French. When they finish all the lessons the pupils clean their classrooms, put everything in order, books, maps and the rest of things. There are school clubs too. Pupils can join the clubs they like most: sports and theater are the most popular. When they go home they must do their homework: studying or doing projects. Sometimes they have to go to the library or to the museums to look for some information or just look in the Internet. Many boys and girls have a pen-friend, now by Internet and they like sending pictures, comics or music.
